ABOUT
OUTSPEND

Outspend is a live internet ownership game: money buys temporary featured placement, time burns its value down, and anybody can take the page by paying more than the value left.

BUY THE PAGE. WATCH ITS VALUE BURN. GET OUTSPENT. TAKE IT BACK.

The mechanic

A successful buyer places an approved name, short message, destination, and visual theme across most of the home page. The server turns the accepted amount into a fixed duration and publishes a countdown from trusted timestamps. As seconds pass, the placement's remaining monetary value falls with them.

The next buyer does not bid into an auction or wait for a round to end. They can take over immediately by completing a valid payment for at least the live threshold: the greater of the minimum purchase or one cent more than the current placement's remaining value. The server resolves simultaneous attempts atomically, so only one valid payment can win a version of the page.

A rate that gets scarcer

The founders curve begins at up to one day of placement per $1. After each successful public placement, the next rate loses one hour per dollar. The curve stops at a floor of six hours per dollar after 18 successful placements. Failed payments, retries, expirations, and moderated placements do not advance the curve.

The live quote shown during checkout is always authoritative. A purchase keeps the exact duration accepted for that attempt; later scarcity changes do not shorten an existing reign. The Rules explain the calculation and displacement example in detail.

What a placement includes

  • a short public name and tagline;
  • an HTTPS destination reached through Outspend's controlled redirect;
  • one constrained theme, plus a small set of safe visual tokens that may be derived from the destination after a win; and
  • up to the exact display time quoted when the attempt is accepted.

Submitted destinations never become page code. Outspend does not embed an owner's HTML, JavaScript, CSS, images, fonts, cookies, or trackers. Placements remain subject to validation and moderation under the Rules.

Payments and safety

At launch, a takeover uses real USDC on Base Mainnet through the production facilitator identified in checkout. Before signing, the interface shows the exact network, token contract, receiver, amount, and authorization window. The page changes only after the server confirms matching settlement evidence.

Outspend will never ask for a wallet seed phrase, private key, or secret recovery information. A confirmed on-chain transfer has real value and is irreversible. Read the Terms before paying and the Privacy Notice for details about data handling.

Frequently asked questions

What is Outspend?

Outspend is a live internet ownership game. A successful payment buys temporary featured placement across most of the public page. The placement lasts until its timer expires, it is removed for a rules violation, or another buyer outspends its remaining value.

How does the takeover price work?

Time and value burn together. The server calculates the current placement's remaining monetary value, and the next valid takeover starts at the greater of the minimum purchase or one cent more than that value. The checkout quote is authoritative.

Is the displayed time guaranteed?

No. Every purchase is for up to the quoted display time. A later buyer can end the placement early by completing a valid takeover, and unused time is not automatically refunded after a legitimate displacement.

Do I need an account?

No account is required to browse, join the free visual Raid or Defense sides, or start a takeover. A paid takeover requires a compatible wallet and the exact payment details shown during checkout.

Does Raid Mode cost money or change ownership?

No. Raid Mode is a free visual signal from live browser connections. It does not authorize a payment, alter the countdown or price, or transfer ownership.

What can an owner publish?

An owner can submit a short name, an HTTPS destination, a tagline, and a constrained theme. Content and destinations must follow the Rules. Outspend can reject or remove unsafe, deceptive, illegal, or otherwise prohibited placements.

Is this literal ownership of Outspend?

No. A buyer receives temporary featured placement only. They do not acquire the Outspend domain, application, company, audience, or any other business asset.

See it in motion

The live page shows the current owner, remaining time, burning value, and authoritative takeover threshold. The public history records completed, non-moderated reigns without turning Outspend into a conventional leaderboard.
